ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー✨ Permanent Makeup: Enhance Your Natural Beauty
What is Permanent Makeup (PMU)?
Permanent Makeup (or cosmetic tattooing) is a technique that uses a specialized machine and ultra-fine needles to place color pigment into the superficial layer of the skin (the dermis). This creates natural, beautiful brows and lips that simplify your routine, allowing you to go about your busy day with confidence.
PMU vs. Traditional Tattooing: What’s the Difference?
Feature Permanent Makeup (PMU) Traditional Tattoo Depth of Pigment Superficial skin layers. Deep layers of the skin. Longevity Color naturally fades over 1 to 2 years. Color lasts for many years. Purpose Designed to fade over time to allow for changes in style and to account for natural skin aging (sagging). Designed to be permanent. PMU differs from traditional tattoos because the pigment is applied to a shallower depth, ensuring it fades naturally over one to two years. At Bellage, we consider your lifestyle and age to provide the optimal PMU that evolves with you.
Benefits of Permanent Makeup
- Cut Down Morning Prep Time: Achieve perfect brows and lips instantly, saving valuable time during busy mornings.
- Smudge-Proof Beauty: Your makeup remains flawless even after hot yoga, intense workouts, or swimming.
Drawbacks of Permanent Makeup
- Not Easily Removed: Once applied, the pigment will remain until it naturally fades. Complete removal is difficult.
- Fading Over Time: The color will gradually lighten, requiring a touch-up session (re-treatment) after 1 to 2 years.
- Downtime Required: Temporary redness and swelling may occur after the procedure, usually subsiding within a few hours, with full healing typically taking up to 6 weeks.
Who Should Avoid PMU?
Please consult us beforehand if any of the following apply to you, as PMU may be contraindicated:
- Individuals with skin diseases (e.g., skin cancer or active infection).
- Those who have recently undergone surgery in the eyebrow area.
- Individuals with severe allergies or atopic dermatitis.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals.
Why Choose Bellage for Your PMU?

- EU-Approved Pigments: We use highly safe color pigments that are free of nickel and heavy metals, ensuring they are MRI-safe.

⚠️ Pre-Treatment Guidelines
- Avoid for 24 Hours: Refrain from consuming alcohol, caffeine, or blood-thinning medications (e.g., Aspirin, Ibuprofen) 24 hours before your appointment.
- Avoid for 1 Week: Avoid aggressive skincare treatments like sun exposure, chemical peels, waxing, or laser treatments for at least one week prior.
- Avoid for 3 Days: Do not shave, bleach, use brow tint, or thread the eyebrow area for three days before the treatment.
- Consultation Required: If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a skin condition, you must consult with us beforehand.
- Day of Treatment: Please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin in the treatment area.
- Wellness: Ensure you are well-rested and hydrated before your visit.
⚠️ Post-Treatment Care (Lips)
🔶 Immediately After to Several Days
- No Touching/Rubbing: The treated area is delicate; avoid unnecessary touching or rubbing.
- No Cosmetics: Do not apply any lip balm or cosmetics other than the prescribed ointment.
- Keep Dry: Be careful when eating or brushing your teeth to keep the area as dry as possible.
- Avoid Heat/Spice/Alcohol: Avoid hot food, spicy foods, and alcoholic beverages.
- Avoid Stretching: Do not stretch or open your lips wide, as this can affect pigment retention.
- No Smoking: Refrain from smoking, as it delays the healing process.
- Moisturize: Apply the prescribed ointment frequently to prevent dryness.
🔷 Within 1 Week
- Do Not Pick Scabs: Allow any scabs or crusting to flake off naturally. Picking will cause pigment loss.
- Avoid Sun Exposure: Use strict UV protection. Wear a mask when outdoors for protection.
- No Lipstick: Do not use lipstick for at least one week.
🔸 Long-Term Care
- Temporary Lightening: The color may appear temporarily lighter during the healing process. Be patient as the pigment settles.
- Maintain Hydration: Regular moisturizing prevents dryness and helps the color last longer.
